户外灰尘飞扬，日积月累会在铁艺大门表面形成一层浮尘。这不仅影响大门的色泽美观，灰尘中的酸性物质还可能破坏表面的保护膜。建议定期用柔软的纯棉针织布擦拭大门表面。对于浮雕纹饰或凹陷处的灰尘，可以用细软的羊毛刷进行除尘，切记不要使用硬布或钢丝球，以免刮花漆面。

潮湿和酸碱是铁艺大门的“头号杀手”。虽然现代铁艺大门具备较好的防锈性，但如果长期处于潮湿环境，金属仍会过早锈蚀。如果遇到大雾天气，应用干棉布及时擦拭门上的水珠；若逢雨天，雨停后应立即把残留在铁艺上的雨水擦干。特别是在酸雨频发的地区，及时清理雨水能有效避免漆面被腐蚀。
